Position Summary: The College of the Arts at Columbus State University has an opening for an Assistant Professor, permanent tenure-track appointment in Studio Art within the Department of Art. A successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in Foundations, specifically drawing at all undergraduate levels, as well as participate in the further development of curriculum related to digital media/new media. Responsibilities include: teaching three undergraduate courses per semester, maintain a record of excellence in teaching and creative activity, and other service as appropriate within the Department, College and University. Miami University, Clinical faculty (non-tenure track, renewable) position in video production
Required qualifications: M.F.A. or M.A. in relevant discipline and at least five years of production and/or teaching experience.
Responsibilities: Teach a variety of basic and advanced video production courses and prepare students to engage with new media forms and distribution channels. Possibility of teaching courses in media aesthetics and film studies. A successful candidate will be an effective teacher-practitioner in all forms of production including studio-based, single-camera EFP, and multiple camera remote. The candidate will also be expected to engage in creative activity and teach in a variety of genres, which might include arts, documentary, narrative, and sports. Candidate will also oversee and coordinate the operation of Miami’s cable television channel.
Program: Miami’s Mass Communication major is housed in the College of Arts & Science’s, Department of Communication. The department is currently being restructured to bring together Miami’s media-related programs—Mass Communication, Journalism, Film Studies, and Comparative Media Studies.
Facilities and equipment: Production facilities include a 40’ x 60’ four HD camera fully equipped studio; two labs each with 20 computers running Final Cut; eight high end individual editing suites running Final Cut Studio; three audio production suites; and two audio production studios. The program has a wide variety of field production equipment from basic cameras to high-end HD cameras. We also have the capability to do multi-camera remote production.

Woodbury University, Assistant/associate Professor of Media Technology and Instructional Coordinator
Woodbury University’s School of Media, Culture & Design invites applications for a full-time Instructional Coordinator and professor in the newly developing department of Media Technology. Areas of study include programming for computer graphics in fields such as animation, digital filmmaking, and games; system administration in creative studio environments and professional practices, including project management and problem solving in a production setting. This is a non-tenure track position with faculty rank and salary commensurate with teaching and professional experience and degrees held.
Responsibilities: Instructional Coordinator (IC) duties include development and piloting of curriculum and services under a Title V grant. The IC will work with the Activities Director and Project Manager to develop the new program within grant guidelines. The IC position will be institutionalized by Woodbury University as faculty in the department of Media Technology, School of Media, Culture & Design. The individual will lead development of the program and should possess qualifications to assume the position of program chair. A professor’s duties include teaching and advising undergraduate students in the major; mentoring independent studies and internships; serving on departmental and university committees; and maintaining active professional development that may include research, professional work in related industries, and involvement in regional and national professional organizations. A normal course load is four courses per semester; however, release time will be provided for the Instructional Coordinator’s duties.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have minimum of a Master’s degree in computer graphics, computer science or a related field. A terminal degree such as Master of Fine Arts or PhD is preferred. Experience in academic administration at the program level is a plus, as is professional experience in media-related fields.

Qualifications: MFA degree or equivalent in animation or a related discipline required. The applicant should have expertise in 3D character animation with supporting experience in 2D animation. Description of Department: Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, the Art Department has over 325 undergraduate majors in degree programs in Art, Art History and Graphic Design. These programs include the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). Additionally, undergraduates can elect to minor in art, graphic design, expressive art therapy, museum studies, or arts management. The Department also offers an MA degree in Art and Graphic Design, an MAT in Art Education, and a certificate in Integrated Media and Social Networking.
