Awards

The iDMAa Award for Positive Innovations in Media is presented each year to an individual or group who has made the world a better place by creating new media, or new ways of using media.

The first Award was made at the iDMAa 2004 Conference to the Center for Digital Storytelling , in memory of its co-founder Dana Atchley.

The 2005 Award will be presented to Lynn Hershman.

Currently a Professor of Art at the University of California, Davis, Ms. Hershman is regarded as one the most influential artists working in new media. Her work is exhibited in many prominent museums including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Walker Art Center, The University Art Museum, Berkeley and the Hess collection.
